We are looking for enthusiastic young people from across Europe to join an international volunteering project at a vibrant school in Gdynia, Poland.
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to:
- share your culture, traditions, and everyday life with young students
- meet like-minded people from different countries and build international friendships
- take part in creative workshops, artistic activities, sports, and intercultural events
- practice your communication, leadership, and teamwork skills in an international environment
- inspire young people to be open-minded, curious, and confident global citizens
- co-create a unique intercultural mural that will remain as a lasting symbol of diversity and cooperation

Hosting Organisation:
The Social School is run by an association with alternative methods of education. It focuses on working with kids also with special needs e.g. children with sight impairment, autism and other disorders or health problems. It is a small institution for 160 pupils 6-15 years old. We work in small groups of around 10 pupils. Classes are conducted with a use of project-based methodologies, with the emphasis on learning by experience.

The activity will take place in Gdynia (250 000 inhabitants), which together with Gdansk and Sopot builds agglomeration called Tricity (750 000). Gdynia is a young city with modernistic architecture, built in the early XX century. It attracts many tourists and inhabitants with beautiful beaches in the city centre, music and film festivals and a couple of universities.
Gdynia ESC volunteers live in a few flats in different districts of the city and work in more than 10 different locations (libraries, NGOs, neighbourhood centres etc). Together with their mentors (local volunteers) they create a large, international and lively community of around 35 young people.
